But the woofing gods must be appeased, so I did. Low and behold: we're down 13 in the third, and things are not going well. I turn to my crew: is it time for the fireball shots? Yes, they say. We take them. The fireball shots were +17 for the game, as we went from -13 to +4 over the last 14 minutes. All of which is to say: Ballhall is a thing of myth, faith, and devoted fandom. I probably lost some long-term hearing tonight, and it doesn't bother me in the slightest.
