[QUOTE="EricLA, post: 5318071, member: 26"] Great trade for Dallas IMHO, but why Minny? Carrington is "selfish" in the sense that she's like a black hole when she gets the ball. Dribble, drive to the basket, who cares if there are 3 players in front of her, and jack up a shot hoping for a foul. Reeve won't allow that for 1 second. Either Carrington will learn some discipline and team ball, or ride the pine. Kind of surprised Kurt Miller parted with her. He basically brought her over with him when he moved from LA to Dallas... he coached her when he was with the Sun, and obviously liked her has he went out and specifically wanted her in Dallas. And Karlie is a really solid player off the bench. Anyone have her being a more productive pro than her sister Katie Lou on their bingo card?? Diamond Miller, on the other hand, has great size and athleticism, and has had flashes of great play, but hasn't seemed to be able to put it all together. Maybe new coaching, new teammates, new start will be what she needs. She seems to have all the tools. Dallas has a great young core now. Rookies Paige, Geiselsoder, Quinnerly, and James. Yeru, Miller, and Siegrist are only 2 years in the league. Even Arike is only 6 years in the W. TBH lately it seems like Arike is playing much more team ball. Many of us, myself included, were down on her and hoped for a trade. Maybe with stronger pieces, better coaching, and a young team future oriented will get her to play to her potential for team ball.
