This is about what one would expect from a that had a 0.118 winning percentage. However, the losses have been qualitatively different. Their worst loss was by only 18 points and two losses were by single digits. Their percent of games lost by 20 or more points has dropped to 36.4%, significantly closing the gap on the 1998 Mystics. Their percentages of losses by at least 15 and 25 points are no longer worse than any team in history (but percentages of losses by at least 30, 35, and 40 points still are). They appear to be veering off the path of being the worst team ever, but they are still the worst team in the league by far. Up to the 2025 All-Star break, they have lost a higher percentage of games than any other team, as well as a higher percentage than any other team of losses by at least 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 points. This is not unprecedented for a full season; the 1998 Washington Mystics have done this. If you include ties in percentages, the 1997 Utah Starzz, 2010 Tulsa Shock, 2011 Tulsa Shock, and the 2020 New York Liberty have also accomplished this. By mid June, four teams had established themselves at the worst in the league: the Los Angeles Sparks, the Chicago Sky, the Dallas Wings and the Connecticut Sun. Starting June 20, the Sparks and Sky, and to a lesser extent, the Wings seem to have figured it out. While Connecticut's losses have been better, only the Sun's trajectory has not changed.
