UConn is predicted to be bowl bound in every bowl projections so far. But this one on December 29th would be awesome.

Schlabach: Florida State vs. UConn

For what it’s worth, at 34:00 Graham states that with an 8/9 win regular season, his sources have said the Pinstripe Bowl or a repeat of Fenway would both be a real possibility. Would love either, or any bowl game at all, but especially would love to see the Metro North crowd pack Yankee Stadium for the Pinstripe Bowl against a B10 team.

SI has us in the Independence bowl vs Kansas State. I'll take that

ESPN salute to the veterans bowls vs Coastal Carolina, I'll pass

Pro football Network has us in the Gasparilla bowl vs Memphis, not bad

Times has us in the Myrtle Beach bowl vs James Madison, Eh

College football Network has us in the Boca Raton bowl vs Old Dominion

Just to name a few

Is it possible if we finish strong (9-3 or even 10-2) we can get into the Pinstripe Bowl vs Big Ten?

It would be the perfect fit for the bowl, our fans, and of an opponent. Just like Fenway was last year. A mid level ACC team wouldn't give a damn about the Pinstripe Bowl but thousands would come down on the train to pack the place for it from Connecticut.

Just read this so it answered my question above.

This is the perfect scenario. A strong finish and I pray it happens.

Since we have no automatic bowl tie-ins because of our independent status, it's all up to how many teams are bowl-eligible after the final week of the regular season. We were fortunate enough to not only have vacant bowl bids available to us last year, but got an ideal bowl game in Boston against an ACC team. Hopefully we get a similar deal this year.

Got to keep chopping wood week in and week out. One thing is for certain, any bowl sponsor has to be impressed with the crowd we would bring to either Fenway or Pinstripe. I’d be looking for any excuse possible to fill those seats. Put Rutgers v UConn in Yankee Stadium and you’ve got butts in seats.
