The round of 32 attendance averaged 9,425. Iowa and SC were the attendance leaders at over 14 K ea. West Coast teams and NC State drag the numbers down.
So with 2 sellouts and a capacity just north of 10,000 Storrs would be on the high side of that average. Unless they count the play-in game which apparently had very low attendance. The round of 32 attendance averaged 9,425. Iowa and SC were the attendance leaders at over 14 K ea. I saw at least the 2nd half of Iowa State and Stanford game. Attendance wasn't what I expected, and neither was the game...one of the worst played D1 WBB games I think I have ever seen. The round of 32 attendance averaged 9,425. Huh - almost 6000, about 80% of capacity. Not horrible, really.I saw at least the 2nd half of Iowa State and Stanford game. Attendance wasn't what I expected, and neither was the game...one of the worst played D1 WBB games I think I have ever seen.
Both teams made clutch 3 after clutch 3 at the end. Very high level.I saw at least the 2nd half of Iowa State and Stanford game. Attendance wasn't what I expected, and neither was the game...one of the worst played D1 WBB games I think I have ever seen.
You are correct at the end they traded 3s... But prior to that, they traded turn over after turn over, foul after foul, missed bunny after missed bunny. Both teams made clutch 3 after clutch 3 at the end. Very high level.
I’m glad I didn’t start watching until about 4 minutes left then. You are correct at the end they traded 3s... But prior to that, they traded turn over after turn over, foul after foul, missed bunny after missed bunny.
Iriafen was the best player on the floor. Stanford's Cameron Brink contributed very little and fouled out early on 4th quarter if I recall correctly. ISU's big center kept trying the same move...back into the paint pushing against the defender until under the basket then try to turn and shoot over left shoulder. Iriafen stuffed her almost every time.I’m glad I didn’t start watching until about 4 minutes left then.
Was very impressed with Ryan (ISU) and Iriafen (Stanford).
Her HS coach called her Olive Oyl, but that picture is more of a Popeye look.Man, I need that pic of Paige for my avatar.
