Even so, do you seriously think that the '23-24 Gamecocks are better than the '01-02 UConn Huskies with one player (Swin Cash) already in the Naismith HOF and two others (Bird and Taurasi) who will be inducted in the next 4-10 years? Michael Voepel's ranking mentioned in Pelton's article ranked the '01-02 Huskies as the best team ever. As soon as I saw this ranking I immediately knew it would be misinterpreted.
