Alexander Honig is a 6-6 265lb TE from Bavaria Germany > TCU. Transfer Portal w/ three years of eligibility remaining

-> TCU tight end and former three-star quarterback prospect Alex Honig entered the transfer portal on Thursday, according to Jeremy Clark of 247Sports and Horned Frog Blitz. The German-born player who committed to the Horned Frogs over Baylor and UMass spent two seasons with TCU, beginning his collegiate career as a quarterback before transitioning to the tight end position. <-

Eleven inch hands! With his size and athleticism OT isn't out of the question. Eric Fisher converted from TE to OT and became the #1 pick in the 2013 NFL draft.

Willkommen bei UCconn Alexander! Looking forward to watching you flourish here. Lass uns gehen Huskies.....

Let's go = "los geht's!"

the translation above is closer to "let go of us / let us leave" lol. Either way - Herzlich willkommen, Alex! viel glück und spaß bei den Huskies <3.

Checks at the physical boxes, thats for sure. Joins a UConn program that already has an OL starter from Austria in Senn and second line OL from Switzerland with Antolovich.

Lots of upside here. Yes, it will be interesting to see how quickly we slide Joly to WR or at least free him up for more hybrid duties.

Previously we didn't have the bodies to play the TE position properly. We just flat out didn't have FBS level specimens here....instead it was body types for FCS middleweights.

On paper the TE unit ought to have the biggest improvement year over year of any offensive unit.

Welcome Alex, we have a great coaching staff ready to help you be the best you can be the best you can be.

Seems Alex bears a resemblance to another UConn player..........

Is he coming in here as a TE, or is he following the Tyler Lorenzen route and coming to get a shot as a QB? Interesting prospect either way. Welcome to UConn!
Good question. Davis came here as a QB and now plays TE for the Packers.

His physical comp as a QB (if he can play the position) would be Josh Allen. That would be something.

He's already over 265, I doubt he is coming here to play QB.

He’s wearing what appears to be 82 in the UConn recruiting pic so think that may solve the mystery. Top left shoulder number looks like it doesn’t match though so not sure
