Not retired as far as I know but you are correct. Entering from Silver St one will see dozens of school buses and high school bands practicing, early in the tailgate hours. Then to line up all around the field to perform with the UConn Marching band for half time.

This will be Dr. Mills, the head director of the UCMB for 30+ years, last year. The Homecoming halftime show should be pretty awesome as I know tons of us UCMB alumni plan on returning for his final year.
