Lets remember a few critical items about last year:
We had, on a total year basis, far less than a !00% contribution from our star-PB;
Two FR who are both excellent shooters/scorers were affected by injuries for much of the year; 
A. Edwards took over half the year to regain her true abilities, after sitting on the Canadian National 
             teams bench, instead of working out with the UCONN staff and teammates;
Dorka took well into the season to adjust to her new team; and
One of our best defenders-AG-sat out the entire year.

Couple the above with less than stellar/hoped for  senior years from CW, EW and ONO (as a group) and I think it completely explains the 2021/22 numbers compared to 2020/21.

Maybe Tony C is getting to me, but while losing (not loosing) Paige certainly hurts, hopefully having healthy , CD and AG, along with improvements from DJ and AE then adding an outstanding recruiting class (Lou, Yanna and Ice along with the unknown Ines) will make this years' team the best in quite a few years (the Stewie days).
