>>Connecticut could have an entire offensive line comprised of Dallas-area recruits in 2021 if it wanted to.
DeSoto three-star offensive lineman Yakiri Walker announced via Twitter on Monday that he has committed to UConn.
He joins a program that already has three D-FW offensive linemen — Arlington Martin’s Chase Lundt (redshirt freshman), Mansfield Timberview’s Noel Ofori-Nyadu (redshirt sophomore) and Southlake Carroll’s Robby Rochester (freshman) — on the roster for 2020. Walker (6-3, 270) is the second D-FW offensive lineman to commit to Connecticut for the Class of 2021, joining Femi Sakiri from Trophy Club Byron Nelson.<<
>>UConn has six commitments for the Class of 2021, and half are from the Dallas area, with Walker, Sakiri and Byron Nelson running back Max Modeste.
Connecticut has seven D-FW players on its roster for next season, with defensive linemen Pierce DeVaughn (Plano Prestonwood), Justin Moore (TCA-Addison) and Caleb Thomas (Mansfield) and tight end Jayce Medlock (DeSoto) joining Lundt, Ofori-Nyadu and Rochester.<<
