Wow, the WAC is getting kinda Texas-centric with these new members. Tough traveling for Seattle U.

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA (July 8th, 2021) – The Charlotte Sports Foundation today announced a three-year deal with Jordan Brand to host the Jumpman Invitational, a major holiday college basketball event in the Queen City. The inaugural gathering, slated for Dec. 20-21, 2022, will feature both the men’s and women’s teams from the original four schools to sign partnership deals with Jordan Brand in both basketball and football: Florida, Michigan, North Carolina and Oklahoma.

All games will be played in Charlotte’s Spectrum Center in partnership with Hornets Sports & Entertainment, which owns the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets and operates the facility. The schedule will feature two games each night, with matchups and game times still to be determined. ESPN networks will air all four games, with ESPN Events working in conjunction with CSF to maximize the event’s success in front of a global audience.

Muffet's Back!
Well, not really. Plus, she's never left ND or South Bend at all. Like many student athletes, ND hoopsters do a lot of their community servce work during summer session. With Niele and the assistant coaches on the recruiting trail, MM took over this community activity session, involving the students in a food bank she spends a lot of time wth.

She's joined by (l-r) guard Anaya Peoples, forward Maya Dodson, guard Abby Prohaska (who played for MM in the Baylor championship game), wing Sonia Citron, center Nat Marshall, forwards Maddy Westbeld and guard Dara Mabrey. MM looks happy. And Marshall is long (Westbeld is a legit 6'3").

Chloe has a very interesting career

"I am excited to welcome Chloe to our Baylor family. Her experience as a high-level player at Maryland, her introduction to coaching at UCONN as a Graduate Assistant, and her vast entrepreneurial experience with OVERTIME will allow her to uniquely connect with this generation of players," Collen said. "Chloe is passionate about empowering young women through their experiences as student-athletes, which makes her a great fit for the Baylor mission and our staff."

Interesting the hire is someone without much of a coaching background. Seems like a hire strictly for recruiting purposes.

Was thinking the same thing. I've noticed she gets mixed responses on social media. But at the same time, her ability to turn Overtime into what it is shows she's has the ability to connect with younger athletes.

Could it be a way to mitigate a weakness that Collen has for recruiting? Time will tell.

Tari is a pretty good recruiter, though. Very well-liked and knows the region very, very well.

Recruiting is very important although not the only factor in competing at a high level. Holly Warlick says all that needed to be said about that

Plan is to revive FB.

Won’t be so bad if they group road games together. And with more members in the league should be able to play “closer” teams more often. Outside of BB, league will split into Texas and nonTexas divisions.
