So for next years non-conference we have confirmed games against

Notre Dame (Home)
Oregon, South Carolina (Away)
3-game Battle 4 Atlantis which counts as 1 on the schedule so that leaves 6 spots

I know the Maryland and Texas series were supposedly postponed so i'm assuming they play next year? Little-Rock may or may not happen.

Anyone have any insight to other confirmed opponents? anyone you would like to see?

I believe Arkansas has signed on to play at Uconn to complete a home-and-home. Geno and TN coach Kellie Harper have expressed mutual interest in continuing the Uconn/TN series. Geno also trying to get ONO a homecoming game in the Atlanta area as well.

Great question!

I'd like to see South Florida and OK at the B4A since we already have OR and SC on the schedule.

South Florida if they aren't in our B4A bracket.

Selfishly, I'd like to see MD just because I could go in person (covid willing) and we have a lot of players now in the mid Atlantic.

GA Tech for ONO. UGA could work in a pinch.

Duke -- Kara seems to be a coach who wants tough competition

Lville

TN

Lastly, I think they should maybe make that west coast trip a couple days and get a second game in there. Maybe an AZ or UCLA. I'd even go for a Gonzaga if they don't want two big games on the same trip.

To make up for this year, I wish they could schedule ALL of the teams listed in the above posts.

Carl Adamec knows the scheduling issues better than anyone. As I recall, contractual games that were canceled due to the shortened schedule included home games against Ark LR, Dayton, Maryland and Texas. Away games included Cal, ND, OK and Virginia. Game at Baylor was canceled due to Covid pause. I'm not sure what will happen to these games going forward, but I expect Texas, Maryland, ND, SC to definitely be on the schedule. Oregon should be on the schedule as well. Will UConn make a trip to Ark LR given the game at Arkansas this season? A lot will need to be sorted out.

nwhoopfan, most of their losses are against ranked teams or greatly improved teams, not the fault of the coach.

Huh? It's almost the same team that went 27-6 last season. This season is on the current coach, not the departed coach.
Didnt some players transfer out? Bibby most notably.

slow down man.

A couple transferred out, but Cooks is a solid player who transferred in from Michigan St. and Hayes has been a decent Fr. Most of the nucleus from last year is still there.

Come on. 13-3 in conference last year, 5-7 this year. The SEC is not that dramatically improved. Mississippi St. has taken a MASSIVE step back from last season, with much of the same personnel.

Stanford, UCLA and Arkansas

I would think that the people who compose the schedules for these teams would go to work earlier this coming year. Through the fault of Covid-19, the plans of many die-hard were ruined this season. Hopefully, fans will be able to schedule which games they plan to attend and get back in rhythm with their favorite team.

Schedule like before the epidemic, and if things are not cleared up by then, so be it !

Evidently you have not watched them play. Playing them would be like playing a middle of the pack Big East team. I would rather UConn play a stronger team.

Most expected they'd be in the title hunt this year. Vic left them with a very full cupboard this year.

I may be in the minority on this...and I don't want to ruffle any feathers, but to me, the UCONN/Tennessee series is one of the greatest rivalries in WCBB and it is important for that series to resume, no matter how much luster has been taken off it by Tennessee's waning fortunes and the lack of "fun" animosity between the two head coaches. It is a testament to the good old days when these two programs battled it out for supremacy in the sport.

There are alot of teams I wish we could play. Contractual games would have to be dealt with first. Then, we've got the other teams that have been scheduled for next year. A big question is are they the second of a two year contract, are they the first of a two year contract, or are they just an obligation game that we have to play? (ie; MLK, Hall of Fame game). With all these different scenarios, can we balance the home/away schedule. In the recent past we've had all except one of our toughest games at home, and the following year the same on the road. Next year, God willing, we will have fans. I think we need a balance, so the fans as well as our elite players can experience the great college basketball atmosphere that they have missed this year. As far as winning and losing, we will not lose a game, so that aspect will not be in question. Lets not forget, any of our potential opponents will be facing the same problem, so the schedule may not be finalized until mid-summer. At any rate, it will be fun speculating about this. Can't wait.

I agree with you now that they have a new coach. I think they are on the upswing. That's probably a hard part about scheduling is you have to predict who will be good anywhere from a year to three years out since the OOC schedule is so important for UConn.

For purely selfish reasons I would like them to play Colorado in Boulder but the altitude and Frida Forman burning them for an NCAA record threes will no doubt prevent that.
Lol, guys, lol!

Both Georgia Tech and Georgia played good/great basketball in their conference tournaments. I would like to see UCONN add either team to the schedule next season as a homecoming game for ONO.
