This is one of my favorite tournaments of the year. It’s always great to see a husky have a chance at making the team and winning gold. With recent guys like Tage Thompson and Adam Huska playing for USA and Slovakia respectively, the UConn representation is sure shown in the world junior ranks

Does this mean he misses HE games if he makes it
I believe The tournament is between Christmas and a NewYears. So yes, he will miss UConn games.

The Juniors camp is 12/9-12/13

UConn plays H/H w/ AIC December 9th/11th.

Next game after that @ Harvard on January 2nd.

World Juniors is over on the January 5th.

Next HE game is January 8th @ BC.

Timeout - so even if you are vaccinated and feel fine after let’s say three days, you still have to quarantine for 10 days? Or am I missing something?

Still infectious if confirmed positive. Same policy that kept Van DeMark, Rose, Lou Spanos, etc… off the sidelines for football.

Is what it is…

Hopefully this Covid outbreak doesn’t affect Ryan Tverberg’s tryout for Canada’s World Junior team. That would be a real shame if it did.

Might want to scroll back a bit in thread…;)
Oops…didn’t see that…I started another thread so no one would miss it. Didn’t want anyone driving somewhere unnecessarily. Go ahead and delete it if you think it’s repetitive.

It’s just a matter of time before this starts to affect other teams and other sports. We started acting like we were in the clear…we were’nt.

It already did affect other sports, both pro and college. Before the weekend a few NHL games were postponed, as well as college games in the midwest, do not remember which sport.

It’s going to be a rough winter. If this is happening to teams that are doing regular testing and are trying to stay ahead of this thing, the general public is in big trouble. Buckle up.

Is this a "UConn" stance on Covid? Or all teams in the NCAA?
I know the NFL is professional, not college, but Keenan Allen just tested positive for the Chargers and he still may be able to play next Sunday if he is free of symptoms and passes two tests 24hrs apart since he's vaccinated.

It's a difference of money- the NFL is gonna spent the money to get the constant testing. A college athletic department probably isn't, unless it's elite FB or BB. Nobody's paying for constant testing for the soccer teams before the NCAAs, when the NCAA will throw the money at it
