Does anyone know if UCONN is hosting the 1st and 2nd Round NCAA site this season? They did last year.

For the first and second rounds, the game sites are determined by seeding and bidding. There is a form and a process... blah, blah, blah.

Usually, unless there is a conflict with the venue, the top 16 seeds are hosting their first and second round games. If UConn isn't hosting, one of two terrible things has happened: 1) We are out of the top 16 or 2) The winter has been so bad that the roofs of Gampel, Mohegan, and the XL Center have caved in.

I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that they'll be hosting.

It would be the biggest upset in the history of sports if they don't.

Top 4 seeds host.... unless their is an arena conflict.

1993 Breeders Cup Classic - Arcangues wins at 133-1. Horses have won at longer odds but never in a race of that magnitude.

SWERVE: 2004 ALCS Championship comeback win by the BoSox
I loved that series, won $1,000 on $10 bet. A pit boss was a HUGE Yankees fan a I told him it's not over yet, after they were leading 3-0, and he said I'll give you a hundred to one odds that the Yankees make the World Series, I bet him $10. He was pissed when we watched the 7th game while I was playing Pai Gow at the tables. Not only did I get his money, I also walked away with $3,000+ from the house.

LOL Great story.
For balance, in 1978 a silly Red Sox fan in mid-July gave me 50-1 that the Sox would win the division. They were 14.5 games ahead at that time. Nor only did they squander that seemingly insurmountable lead but Bucky Dent is now a curse word in the Boston area. A great time to be a Yankee fan!!

Still think UCONN not finishing in the top 16 would be a bigger upset

To add to the unlikelyhood of the Red Sox winning in 2004, the Yankees were leading in the 9th inning of game 4 and Rivera was pitching. He blew saves at a rate close to the time it takes for the procession of the equinoxes to complete a cycle.

Still swerving...I have the 2004 Boston Red Sox World Series DVD box set. It includes the ALCS. Sometimes when I am wanting to watch something when I am feeling kinda down I put in ALCS Games 4, 5, 6 & 7. (BTW, I also watch quite a few Huskies WBB replays and the Pats SB Comeback victories over the Falcons and the Seahawks under the same circumstances. )
