Does anyone know if you can get tix thru UConn??

Rooms under $80!. There will be tickets on the ground, it will be like the bowl games. Less than half price via resellers. Would assume casinos will have comps as well. If flights are reasonably priced this could be a nice weekend in the desert.

There will be no issue getting tickets, they'll be lucky if more than a couple thousand show up for this. Very odd field with two "western" teams that have very small fanbases and one tiny east coast school who won't travel much. UConn's a good pick with a larger brand name, but the other three are puzzling - unless it's all they could get.

However, Western Michigan has virtually the same enrollment as UConn Storrs and a far greater hockey history. may also pick up support from the 25,000 people at nearby Nellis aFB. It’s not a given that UConn will be the best draw.

I "live-chatted" with UConn ticket office today. They think availability is thru T Mobile Arena only. Didn't sound like they were getting any for the casual fan.

You're right, I forgot about the heavy Air Force presence out there, so that makes sense. WMU, I disagree on. While it's got more hockey history than UConn, it's hardly a well-known hockey program and is very much a local school and brand. They don't draw huge crowds at home or in local tournaments in Michigan. Walk down the street in a random city and ask 100 people what WMU's mascot is, I'd bet a lot of money no more than 10 know it. If they were going for a western school they could get with some level of draw, someone like a Michigan State, Ohio State, or even Omaha would be better draws and would bring some fans. WMU and St. Lawrence are complete nothingburgers from an attendance perspective.

For reference, while it's not a like comparison at all in terms of prominence, Minnesota and North Dakota are playing a game in Vegas this year at the 8k seat Orleans Arena and the game sold out almost instantly.
