My sense, reading between the lines, is that she was not enamored with her experience in France. She commented on the town being small and that she had not learned any French while there. I could be wrong about that, and in any event her perceptions probably would be colored by the injury she suffered. From a larger perspective, I`m guessing that after the injury she (and her family) just said that for the time being, enough is enough. Ankle surgery in April 2018, after playing through it for a grueling 2017-2018 season, rehab, fairly serious back injury on Senior Day, broken wrist with Chicago, not a great situation with regard to playing time there. Maybe time to step back, take inventory, get healthy, work on things individually. Since she was recovering from an injury after her junior year, she hasn`t really had an offseason to work on things since after her sophomore season ended in 2017. It is possible that she will go back to France in January - they can presumably drop someone from the roster to make room if need be - but she didn`t indicate as much with Bob Joyce and I guess I would be surprised if she does. In any event, she made a lot of friends in Connecticut that will be rooting for her as she moves forward with hopefully a long and successful professional career. Hard to believe that she is only 22.
