UMass vs Duquesne. This is Whipple's 5th year at UMass and he's got a senior QB and plenty of other seniors. Ended last year fairly well. Andy Gresh as one of the announcers. Get a early look at one of the Huskies opponents.

I hope we get off to this kind of start vs our FCS opponent.

UMass could be a bowl team this year. Lots of close losses last season.

Former Husky Bryce McAllister forces a fumble and then snags a interception for UMass

That’s funny. I was just thinking about him today. I forgot he transferred to UMass, wasn’t sure where he was. I thought he was going to be a good player for us based on his physical tools and versatile play in prep school. Good to see he is doing well. Too bad it isn’t here.

Northeast Conference has a 40 scholarship limit, not surprised UMass rolled over them.

For bowl eligibility, do wins against crappy conference teams with only 40 scholarships count? Or, only 1-AA schools with FCS' maximum 63 scholarships? Even though Ivy schools' grant-in-ad benies are scholarships of a different name, I know wins against Yale, Princeton, etc do not count for bowl eligibility.
