I feel like I'm beating a dead horse when saying that UConn is THE best place to prepare for professional women's basketball. No surprise which school has the most players in the WNBA.

Rank of schools (with 3 or more players currently on a roster):
1. UConn - 14 (soon to be 15 once Swin re-signs)
t2. Duke - 9
t2. Rutgers - 9
4. Tennessee - 8
5. Maryland - 7
t6. Notre Dame - 5
t6. UNC - 5
8. Minnesota - 4
t9. Cal - 3
t9. LSU - 3
t9. Penn St - 3
t9. Stanford - 3

Any surprises? I was surprised that Stanford ranked so low while Minnesota was one behind the likes of ND.

It's shocking how poorly Duke has done in the tournament considering how many professional players they have.

I'm surprised Baylor isn't on there. Is that accurate? Griner, Sims, and that's it?

Surprising that South Carolina and Baylor are not in the top 10

South Carolina shouldn't be surprising... we didn't start getting WNBA quality players until 2013 or 2014. I like to think we have 3 or 4 players currently on roster with WNBA potential.

Most of Duke and Rutger's players are from their years of success (5-10 years ago). I can picture them phasing out over the years as players from top programs like ND, Baylor, and South Carolina come in.

Are most of the Rutgers players holdovers from the Big East era? Pondexter, Carson, Ajavon. . .

I was hoping Massengale would get a spot on a roster. I'm glad Simmons did.

"You would like to think" but dont, because you don't.

Just kidding SCGamecock. I see about 3 on the roster with WNBA potential. Wilson is a lock as will be Davis.

And of course this won't have any effect on any high school players wondering what's the best program for them....not much!

Yea, very surprised about Rutgers.

I'm not. C. Vivian has recruited some really great talent, yet done little to develop them. Her teams chronically underperform. But the Rutgers players are not just from the old days of the BE. Kohlea Copper is doing very well, and recently entered the WNBA. Vaughn is not an old-timer either. Great offensive talent, yet Rutgers as a team just can't figure out how to score.
