Brimah is purely a defensive prospect at this point. Let's start with the good. He was the AAC defensive player of the year last season, posting a 15 percent block rate that was good for second in the entire NCAA. His length is absolutely superb, and he has terrific timing when going up to contest shots. Offensively, he also doesn't try to do too much, as he's an efficient 67 percent shooter and has improved immensely as a foul shooter. However, he has some pretty distinct issues with his game, and they mostly revolve around his inability to rebound the basketball. His 10.9 percent defensive rebounding rate is abysmal for an NBA Draft center prospect. Also, his feel for the game isn't great on either end. He has very few instincts as it refers to passing the basketball, and defensively his footwork isn't great on the perimeter. He's a flawed prospect, but he's a guy that might be worth taking a flier on simply due to his elite ability to protect the rim.
