I know that you can't really do this, but if this year's team played against last year's team, who would win? I think it gets complicated, especially as this year's versions of Lou, Pheesa and Gabby are much better/more complete than last year's.

Not complicated at all - no doubt Lou, Pheesa, Gabby, and Kia have taken real ownership of this years team and all the returning players are playing better than they did last year, but ...
Moriah, Morgan, and Breanna would slice and dice this year's team just as they sliced and diced everyone they faced last year. Love this year's team and am impressed with their play to date, but Breanna is better than anyone on this years team, Morgan is the equivalent of anyone on this years team, and Moriah is a better guard than any guard on this team. This year's Kia and last year's Kia would probably both end up in prison on assault charges against each other and Lou this year would do a nice job of overwhelming Lou of last year, that is the only 'winning' match-up out of the five starters for this year. Saniya or Danger vs. Moriah would be a slaughter. And last year's bench with Gabby and Napheesa is better than this year's bench.

And I think the senior Lou, Napheesa, and Danger might give the senior Breanna, Morgan, and Moriah a run for their money. Add in whatever Gabby becomes as a senior and it would be a pretty tough choice, even without next year's reinforcements.yeah--no contest.

Lest we forget - the 2015-16 team was unique because they had three HoH quality players all in their Senior year, the two best players in the country, and started five players who could hit from beyond the arc. Add to that dynamic players coming off the bench. A stronger case could be made for Stewie being the best ever than any other college player. I only wanted it to last forever.
