I'm surprised looking at the rosters and seeing so many uncommitteds. What's the deal with that? Is this normal?

I'm not going to ask the obvious question, just being curious.

Sorry about the cut and paste mashup:

McDonald's All American Game Rosters
Boys East / Boys West
Dwayne Bacon (No. 20 in the ESPN 100, Florida State) Carlton Bragg (No. 21, Kansas)
Antonio Blakeney (No. 14, LSU) Jalen Brunson (No. 17, Villanova)
Isaiah Briscoe (No. 13, Kentucky) Deyonta Davis (No. 16, Michigan State)
Jaylen Brown (No. 2, Uncommitted) P.J. Dozier (No. 25, South Carolina)
Thomas Bryant (No. 22, Uncommitted) Brandon Ingram (No. 12, Uncommitted)
Cheick Diallo (No. 11, Uncommitted) Chase Jeter (No. 9, Duke)
Henry Ellenson (No. 5, Marquette) Malik Newman (No. 4, Uncommitted)
Jawun Evans (No. 36, Oklahoma State) Ivan Rabb (No. 6, Uncommitted)
Luke Kennard (No. 23, Duke) Malachi Richardson (No. 19, Syracuse)
Dedric Lawson (No. 26, Memphis) Caleb Swanigan (No. 8, Uncommitted)
Ben Simmons (No. 1, LSU) Allonzo Trier (No. 15, Arizona)
Diamond Stone (No. 7, Uncommitted) Stephen Zimmerman (No. 10, Uncommitted)

Basically they're waiting to see how many of them can go to UK. Last year's anomaly of everyone returning confused them so they're making sure it was just a glitch in the matrix before everything returns back to normal with the daycare system
harrisons(2) are gone, Lyles is gone, WCS is gone, Towns is gone... then probably some randoms, booker, johnson, and or lee

I'm glad that they gave Jalen a nod and at least explained why he isn't on the roster.

Texas A&M signee Tyler Davis, the No. 18 prospect in the class, is the highest-ranked nominee not selected. No. 24 Jalen Adams, a Connecticut signee, is ineligible for the game due to his status as a postgraduate student at Brewster Academy (New Hampshire).

ESPN still shows UCONN on the lists for Diallo and Swanigan, as well...theoretically, we are also one of the few schools where the Stone-Newman package deal could still be available.

I haven't heard UConn mentioned with Diallo in over a year seriously.

UConnis probably the only place a package of Newman and Stone could happen. However, Newman has never visited UConn and I think Ollie didn't make it down the last time he was supposed to visit Newman. Then there are rumblings that Stone has shifted his top two to Wisconsin and Maryland. I still hold some hope as he hasn't committed and he did visit UConn twice and Ollie has been out to see him.

Swanigan, i haven't heard much about UConn recruiting him in months.

It appears to be basically Stone and a very small shot at Newman if Stone comes first. Of course Daniels was out of the blue, so who knows.

I noticed on the woman's McD team Geno continues to reload with 3 players. I guess the AAC is not hurting him.

Actually the real danger is that the top players realize they can be evaluated on a "per minute production basis". This would mean that they are waiting only to make sure they can be in one of Uk's two platoon squads- play 50% less time- avoid injuries ect- and still be the lottery pick they were before being forced to go to college.

It really is something to watch because it could change the game for every school that does not have UCONN on their jersey. (I kid sort of- but just awful for the sport).

Florida State 'brought home the bacon'. Can we bring in a 'new man' or at least get 'stoned'?

Man, I would love to pick up that Jalen Brown. He was, IMO, the most impressive at the HoopHall Classic.

Please don't compare Uconn men's and women's, you should know why.

Are you sure the Harrison's leave? Would they be drafted?
