Many sources reporting that Malzahn fired Johnson so he can hire Muschamp.

Seems like a logical move for Muschamp. Go back to being a DC at a program like Auburn, rebuild his reputation & get back in line for another head job in a couple years

Where does Brian Kelly end up? Shelf life at ND almost done?

Jim Harbaugh to Michigan just makes too much sense not to happen.

Fat Boy Francessa was saying the other day that Kelly might actually have his sights set on an NFL gig. Main reason being that he can't compete with the big boys due to ND's admission requirements.

Breaking: Bill Blankenship has been fired by the University of Tulsa after four seasons and a 24-27 record.

No one makes more sense for Tulsa than Penn State OL coach Herb Hand. Understands the job, knows the city. Would do well.

OSU OC Tom Herman and ASU OC Mike Norvell probably will get a look at Tulsa too. Will be a pretty popular opening.

Harbaugh has too much of an ego to accept both a 'step-down' to a college program from the NFL, at least until he wins a Super Bowl, and to be under the thumb of an academic university president and the NCAA. Plus, he is still under contract with the Niners through 2016. Talk is him being 'traded' to the Raiders (family preference) or the Jets. Giants would not surprise me either. Both the Jets and Giants would give him anything right now to be relevant and I believe being in the big stage (NYC) would be attractive to him.

All these coaching changes, anyone think Edsall is on a short leash at Maryland?

1st year: 2-10 (1-7) (just as bad as diaco)
2nd year: 4-8 (2-6)
3rd year: 7-6 (3-5)
4th year: 7-5 (4-4)

He hasn't posted a winning conference record in the ACC/BIG and if Pelini getting canned at 9-3 and now on the market, Brady Hoke on the Market, Muschamp on the market,

Mixed emotions coming from Under Armor country. I thought the last paragraph pretty interesting.

I don't get how Tulsa is a popular opening....what exactly does it bring that makes it so attractive?

Potential candidates with a ton of self-confidence probably see it and think to themselves, "Wow, in this conference it'd be easy as hell to win the championship for a year or two then get hired by a P5 school!"

From Division III to Buffalo, new head coach Lance Leipold says, "It's still football.” Post original url/1ybinVN
I believe one time Temple coach Bobby Wallace was D2 national title winner at North Alabama. I may be wrong on that, but he was a collosal flop, though that could have been in part due to Temples lackluster support for the FB program back then.

Why are schools with little to no hope of moving up to higher paying conference paying football coaches $1,000,000-$2,000,000 per? Do they see some sort of payday on the horizon? We have exit fee money and big dreams. For Tulsa etc., it seems like they are paying for something that has no real ROI potential.

Besides a seven figure paycheck, Oklahoma is somewhat of a recruiting hotbed.

There's really no guarantee that we (UConn) is moving up either, we're basically on the same boat.

But if anyone is moving up it isn't them.
