How do you want the staff to look in 2014, assuming P is canned and Weist is interim Week 4?

I vote for all of them as long as it means Pasqualoni and DeLeone are gone.

Why don't you guys give it a rest..... P's not going anywhere till they are mathematically out of contention for a bowl bid. 6-6 won't cut it, he either goes to a bowl this year or Manuel makes a change. In the mean time I'm still going to support the team and the staff and hope they do make a bowl this year.

Absolutely on board with the team making a bowl.

You can vote for whoever you want.

The problem is...I think the idea of hiring a big name coach is good...but you poisoned that option with Kiffin and Weiss. Big name coach like...Leach...Tressell..Pollini...maybe. Kiffin is AWFUL as a coach and a person...Weiss is incompetent.

That is why there is also 'a name along those lines' after Kiffin. I put Kiffin as an example of a big name, he's not my top choice. Which in another thread is in this order (Petrino, Tressel, Kiffin, Weis). I wanted Leach before we even got P, but after the USC win, Wazzou is not letting him go and he wouldn't leave for UCONN at this point.

The poll is just to see where everyone's head is at and which direction they want the administration to go for the next hire. Not trying to lead anyone in a certain direction, all entitled to your own opinions!

Weyeo we all had that thought going into the season, but after week 2 I would bet every dollar I own that P is not going to be our coach next season.

When are they going to fire him? Doesn't matter because he will be fired, so these threads are justified at this point.

I don't think there is any chance that Weist stays on after this season when Pasqualoni goes. None at all. You bring in a new guy to resurrect the program you have to let him do it the way he wants to do it. the problem is that even if your fire Pasqualoni today, you can't fix the offensive line problems without firing DeLeone, too which leaves you 2 coaches down. Maybe, and its a huge maybe, you move Coach Foley back to the line and move George out to work with tight ends. But going into the conference season with down 2 coaches is just asking for disaster. And while I like some of the things he has done, I'm not totally sold on Weist, anyway. I'm of the opinion that the time to have made a switch was last December. Option 2 was after Towson. But at this point, not sure the benefit if they get blown out by Michigan and then lose to Buffalo. At that point you're pretty much at the point of no return. And if the somehow beat Buffalo (and I can't believe I just wrote that) you're not firing him either, because you've got another winnable game coming up against an awful USF team. The next 3, 2 on the road, UConn has no shot in my estimation. Might just as well ride Pasqualoni at this point. then clean house come December 9. New guy keeps maybe 1, at most 2 guys for continuity. Weist isn't going to be one of them.

Tell the entire staff he is out after the Rutgers game (Sunday 12/1) and that they are free to seek other employment opportunities, and that they will have a chance to interview with the new head coach like is done everywhere else. Start setting up your interviews ASAP. Hopefully you have your new coach by the end of the week of 12/16.

Fire PP, promote Weist to interim to organize the remainder of the year and manage recruiting. Then let him get in the interview line with everyone else. The kicker - tell him he can get the inside track on the job by figuring out how to organize the offensive coaching... well the coaching on offense anyway.

The result might be better than the current course, especially if the change in attitude can get to the hearts and minds of the OL. Those guys have to be shown that there is a light up ahead.
