2014 Season

I just read 2 posts that made me start to think about why this season is going to be exciting compared to the last 2 years. Here they are:

Good stuff. Stewart's comments are telling, about the team's attitude.

I like this team. They seem like they are going to be fun to root for.

I am excited to watch this team...not because I think they will win 10 games (I think they will win 6-7 games... 7-8 wins will be a GREAT season..9 wins Unbelieveable), but because they will be fun to watch. My wife and I stay to the end of every game at the Rent win or lose. There is something new and fresh about this program...it can be seen everywhere. My friends who are former players were raving about the atmosphere that is in the Burton/Schenkman complex when they were invited by Diaco and his staff to come up during spring ball for a practice. The fact these kids ave bought into Matt Balis's S&C program speaks volumes about where this program is headed. Diaco made mention of the atmosphere at the Rent when he coached at Virginia...I have this feeling that atmosphere will be back..and soon. It is exciting to think that those days could be right around the corner again.

I can not wait for Aug 29 to get here. Last year it was almost a bummer going to games especially after Lagow left before the season for "unknown" reasons. A hint at the steaming pile that was to occur. The tailgate was the highlight of the day and then we had to trudge in to watch Sleepy and Dopey drive the team into the ground. I'm sitting here smiling in anticipation of a fun season where watching a TEAM play an organized brand of football will be the highlight. GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the risk of getting whacked by Spackler's Debbie Stick, I've learned not to take these words so seriously. I want to see action, not words. The players said all the right things about PGDL. That didn't turn out so well.
