While watching other teams play and UCONN isnt playing yet, I was wondering if we could chat a bit about recruiting.

I'm a little shocked that the top of the 2013 class hasnt had one verbal. I am assuming that when 1 verbals that the chips will fall.

I am all for the young ladies taking their time but just the same I cant believe that one of the top 10-15 has made a commitment.

I think some of it is to do with the un-clear situation at TN as in theory few of them would have gone there if all was fine and dandy

Some of this may also hinge on players wanting to see how next year shakes out and which teams may be a good fit for them to step in and get some playing time and have an impact.

Davis had verbaled to Tennessee but then rescinded. Her mother said it was not due to Pat's condition but that is a little hard to believe.

I agree with both points:

Tennessee, one of the premier programs, has a huge amount of uncertainty.

Once a few of the top 5-10 decide, like dominoes, things fall into place for many of the others.

Of course, these two factors are interrelated. Certainly Kaela Davis falls into both categories.

Most of them are involved with High School State tournaments. Once the tournaments are over, the girls will have more time to think things through, and make good decisions for themselves.
