Using composite rankings and a formula I devised, here's how I'm ranking the 2013 classes that are signing LOIs this week. (Yes, a few players still have yet to commit, but not many.)

PTS .. RNK . SCHOOL ..... PLAYER RANKS ("x" = below 125)
2013class.JPG

ACC: #1, 2, 4, 5, 9,10,11,12,18
SEC: #3, 6, 8,20,21,22,23,27,34
PAC: #7,15,19,38
B12: #16,25,28,31,32,33,35
BgE: #14,26,29,30,39,40
BiG: #13,17,36,37
A10: #24

==================
the 6 ACC teams that didn't make the top 20 (or the top 40): BC, Pitt, VaTech, NCSt, Wake, Clem
the 5 SEC teams that didn't make the top 35: Mizzou, Auburn, Bama, Miss, MissSt
the 3 B12 teams that didnt make the top 35: Kan, KSt, Okla

whats that 93 you have on the end of the UNC ranks?

It was #93 Tanisha Brown, but now I'm thinking that's a mistake -- she un-verballed, didnt she?

All of them have a real good class. Getting the #1 player also means something ;)

I also think it is UNC, Duke, Tenn at this point. The reason ASGR has Tenn at number 2 is because they have Greenwell at 18 and Reynolds at 22. Reynolds has the athleticism to warrant her ranking IMO but I also think Greenwell is definitely a top 10 player.

have you seen Greenwell play ? can you describe her game ?

Yeah I've seen her in a couple of the USA games and also in person at the Battle in the Boro this summer.

She's a very big guard with a very sweet shooting stroke. Constantly looking to score, whether with the ball in her hands or by running off screens without the ball. At the Boro this summer, she only missed 1 shot in the game against the Cal Sparks in a dominant win for the Flight.

I realize she's going to have some off games, and she may struggle to defend at the next level, particularly if she's playing the 2 instead of the 3, but she is going to put some points on the board. She's going to be even more dangerous with Williams and the Cali posts in the paint and excellent point guards in Jones and Gray.

I realize Bjorkland didn't really live up to a number 2 ranking for Tenn, but she was a very good player, an amazing shooter, and would have been much better suited to sit back and fire like Greenwell is going to be able to. I would compare their games, and I mean that as a compliment.
