Second match-up of the year fir these two teams. State actually took USCe to the brink in the first game before losing by two points.

No idea what may happen. USCe should win in a blow out. They are the best team in the nation, are basically playing a home game and with our propensity to start out games slow could prove to be our death-knell.

Both teams have good depth, so being tired with this being the third game in three days should not be an issue.

We are the underDOG here but I will still be pulling for our Ladies. Hail State!!!!

It'll be a good game. I don't think it'll be a blowout for a few reasons....

SC always plays tight versus MSU. More than any other game on both team's schedule, this game is hardly ever a blowout even when one team is way better than the other. I do think SC is a fair amount better than MSU this year... but MSU will raise their level of play to compete with SC and more.

I agree.... these 2 never blow each other out. Closest was 2016 in the tournament 66-52 but not even that

I think Vic and Dawn both coach elite fundamentals. They also eliminate clear weaknesses that makes a team easier to exploit.

Carter was a no-show the last time they played. I expect to see a lot more of Morris based on the way she played yesterday.

USC wins because of coaching. Myah Taylor contributes nothing offensively so against the good teams MSU is basically playing 4 versus 5 offensively. I still have no clue why Vic does some of the things he does...it cost MSU back to back national championships. Okay..maybe not back to back but there is no question MSU should have beaten Notre Damn two years ago in the championship game. As soon as we found out that Danberry was going to be able to play Jordan should have been named the starting PG...Myah should have been named the backup PG....Mingo should have been told she will red shirt unless either Jordan or Myah gets hurt. Jordan doesn't have the jump shot to play off the ball and this is especially true when she is paired in the back court with a guard who has an even worse jumper(Myah Taylor) than she does. Only two players on the team who should get minutes as the off guard are AEH and Aliyah Matharu. The fact that Vic never figured this out this season is almost comical at this point.

He evidently knows a thing or two about coaching and this years team is 27-5 and 15-3 in the SEC (counting the Tournament).

It is quite easy to armchair coach but he has more than proved that he knows what he is doing.

Two years ago we were better than ND but they seem to catch some of the breaks that you need to win a NC. At times, it appeared the basket had a lid on it. While I firmly believe you make your own luck but occasionally you have some breaks go against you and that can make the difference in a win or a loss.

There is no getting around the fact that Miss St needs better offensive production from PG position period. That said, Taylor is Miss St's best ball handler at this point. What really hurts is when you have Taylor out there and Bibby who is not being productive offensively at all. Cant have major holes in the lineup offensively like that.

Matharu is not a PG, neither is Danberry who gets careless with the ball as well at times. MSU's PG play issues is not going to change the remainder of this season, they are what they are. Vic can address that this offseason. Just alternate Mingo Young and Taylor with Matharu, Danberry and Rickea in the lineup.

What’s up with AEH this year? Doesn’t seem to get nearly as many minutes as last year. Has she been hurt? In the “dog” house?

Only reason MSU losing is because Vic ran Myah Taylor and Bibby out there for some reason. Still makes me laugh that Jordan isn't dominating the ball. Dawn has to be laughing inside.

really?
Well, I’m not positive. But it seems that when I check box scores, she seldom contributes. And I thought there were times when she did pretty well the last two years.

Dawn is just simply a much better coach than Vic is...that is what it boils down to.
