Gottlieb was a hot coach for a hot minute in her time a Cal and managed to accomplish much more than Cori Close has with UCLA despite UCLA having much more heralded recruits including #1 recruiting class. Among Gottlieb's accomplishment at Cal was winning a share of a regular conference title and an appearance in the FF in 2013. It is also noteworthy that she left Cal for the NBA to be an assistant for Cleveland Cavs. She has also been named coach of the year in two difference conferences.
