Figure it would've been bad mojo to let this day go unacknowledged here! Take a moment today to watch that highlight (probably for the 600th time) and thank your lucky stars you haven't had to go through the last 13 years ankleless like Gary McGhee.
 
As soon as that switch on D happened, I knew I was watching something that could possibly be awesome.
 
I watched that run with friends and swore if they won it all I would buy a dog and name it Kemba. Ended up buying Kemba and maya. Sadly Kemba passed two weeks ago. Only reason I can believe it has been 13 years.
I am sorry for your loss. I love my pets.
Oddly enough, I was literally yesterday telling my wife that I know 3 people that have named their dog Kemba. One of those people got a 2nd dog and named it Shabazz. The UConn basketball love is real!
