Nika always had the makeup of an elite PG, just not the modern version of elite PG who also scores a lot. There were two questions:

1) Would she be able to show it with Paige running PG, especially after Azzi came in so that Paige couldn't simply slide over to the 2 to be on the court with Nika at the same time

2) Would she develop her offense to become a "modern" PG?

Not the best of times to show the world when your "twin" is sidelined for a year to allow the unveiling but maybe Paige knew already that PG was in good hands - she had said earlier this year that Nika was always like this!

Nika was destined to become the elite point guard she now is. When she first came to Uconn as a freshman she was a bundle of energy waiting to show how good she could be. With Geno's and CD's coaching what you now see is what you get, a refined bundle of energy that now can take over a game and shine with precision and skill. Nika is now my second most loved player on the team. I cant wait to see how many Uconn records she will break before she graduates and with 1 or 2 NC's. GO NIKA!!! GO HUSKIES!!!
