Did Edsall play too cute and cost himself a month of pay? His contract paid him through 12/31 but his retirement date is 12/1. If he got fired, he would have been paid until 12/31.

"Edsall, whose contract was set to expire Dec. 31, 2023"

Check back at 11:11, i guess?

Honestly, who cares? Randy ain't hurting for money and a month salary is inconsequential to the school in the grand scheme.

I’ll save my outrage for something that’s actually outrageous.

Who cares at this point? Both Edsall and UConn seem to be happy with this whole situation. Edsall gets his pay and UConn gets at least 3 months to conduct an extensive search and fundraiser to pull in a coach (hopefully Moorhead, Entz, Cignetti or Keeler) to try make a homerun hire. Sure the optics from the media stand point looks kinda bad, but overall I think this turns out to be a net positive.
