1180 Character Limit?

Granted I'm a lawyer and take too many words to make my point, but are others having problems today? I can't even write two long paragraphs without my posts being rejected for length. Given that my 241 column was fine yesterday, could someone please explain what is happening?

Tom reduced the size of pictures that can be posted. I was getting the same message earlier. Maybe the two things are connected.
