This converation about ball size/hands etc is silly. There is not the level of ball pressure in WBB overall because there is no incentive to pressure. So that skill is unemphasized in the gsme and underdeveloped compared to the more athletic, full court mens game.

It will work, give it time to filter to HS/AAU and you will see the difference
