1/19 HS game on CPTV Sports with Breanna Stewart

Did anyone watch this game? I DVRed it and am watching it now.

It's rather sloppy but both teams have decent ball movement. They use a 30 second shot clock in Mass. They're saying CT high schools don't use shot clock.

They had a promo for Phil Starks of Prince Tech (Hartford). He's second in the nation in scoring. My wife is the timekeeper for Wilcox Tech (Meriden). Prince Tech will be at Wilcox 2/3. I can't wait to see that one!!!

Cicero North (Stewart's team) leads West Springfield 22 to 6 after the 1st quarter. Stewart almost makes a shot fro half court at the buzzer. She had (2) free throws and (1) three pointer so far.

To put things in perspective, West Springfield was 8-0 coming into this game.

At the half it's 39 -9. Stewart with 14. Cicero is very good, it's not the Stewart show, it's been a team effort.

Stewart pulled a Gardler! She stopped to tie her shoe, ran up the court, was passed the ball and buried a three!!!!

Stewart goes a bit wild to the hoop, spend a lot of time on the floor, like Hayes. She just wiped out missing a running layup and hit her head on the floor and got taken out.

At the end of the 3rd quarter it's 56-13. I think Stewart has 22 pts, 20 rebounds and 8 blocks, already about her game averages.

Cicero wins 60-20. Stewart didn't return. I don't think she's hurt, they were up so much there was to reason to put her back in.

Stewart had 22 points, 18 rebounds, 7 blocks. They interviewed her after the game. She speaks well, very humble.

She plays like a young Rebecca Lobo. She plays hard, runs well and handles the ball well. She needs to hit the weights, work on playing inside under control, and taking more outside shots. A diamond in the rough!!!!

Just a reminder: two days after that game Cicero had some serious competition against the Hill School in Philly....won 62-52. Breanna had 44 in that one.

I believe I saw where they won one game 74 - 5 or near abouts.
Wonder how many she scored that game.
