The team has everything they need.
I'd rather find ways to develop a flexible strategy for our abundance of riches to maximize the number of players who can be used effectively and overcome the challenges that each opponent's roster and style present.
Okay, you came onto the UConn board, where we readily accept fans of other teams with open arms, and not once, but twice, poured salt on what you know is a deep and painful wound. What's your motivation? Maybe it makes you feel good to upset fans of the greatest program in college basketball...
I'd have to go with the "Blizzard" game against Tennessee in Hartford. The forecast was frightening - some people were worried the game would be canceled. It was nationally televised, so there was no way that was going to happen.
Got to the game early to be safe - also figured we'd be able to...
I have six all session tickets. I decided not to resell them and leave them as empty seats. Imagine if all UConn fans who bought Albany tickets did that. The Albany games would be played in from of half empty seats. I am happier with the Portland draw -- I just wanted that draw in Albany. :D
This is a sweet group of photos - thanks for posting. Also, when I see photos like this, I think about the character and desire of kids like Ines. They go through the same grueling training, practices and hard work as the rotation players even though they usually see only a few minutes of...
Her improvement is nothing short of dramatic. it's obvious she has been working hard on everything - skills, conditioning, the system. UConn coaching and the character and dedication of the types of players who come to Storrs shows through again.
I was at the game and preferred the ceremony after the game. It was less rushed, more joyous and simply a better experience. Kudos for some fresh thinking.
Saying a prayer for her physical and psychological well being - this has got be tough on a kid.
From a selfish and purely personal point of view, I am going to miss watching her play. It is a joy.
Speaking of missing persons - anybody have any info on Danny K? He dropped out some time ago to take care of his mom. I texted him a few months ago to ask how things were going and did not hear back. He was a fixture at games and a genuinely nice guy. I hope he is well and realizes how much he...
Watching the game was painful. Most UConn players were off their game - who knows why? But UConn was playing without two of this year's starters and without two other players who saw no time this year but would have had good chances to start. We lost to the number 2 team in the country by 11...
She seems to be a great person with a sparkling personality, but "glimpses of good basketball?" You and I must be watching different games. Every time she has come in, I rooted for her to contribute. Unfortunately, her performance hurts UConn's chances almost every time. I believe every UConn...
Before the season begins and you dedicate yourself to doing all this work for no reward other than knowing you are enriching the experience for Boneyard fans, I want to say thank you. It's enlightening and improves our understanding of the game and the players' performance. I know I am speaking...
It feels good to gloat and I must admit I am somewhat happy LSU lost. It's not that I have anything against LSU. My happiness is that it illustrates just how incredible UConn's long-term accomplishments are. It's like when people were talking about a South Carolina "dynasty" beginning after...
