Sine the defense usually starts out good but tires in games from being on the field way too much I would agree OC may have been my choice. That said having sat through a lot of brutal seasons sans 2022 any change with quality individuals is good.
Well there is the human factor that the coaching staff and players were down about not getting an invitation to the B12. Now it’s hard to recover at this point
Agreed but we have that fine School of Business across from Gampel. Why were they not helping the marketing of our fine institution years ago? Regardless better late than never. UConn has a great story to tell but beating NC State or giving them one great game will go a long way in shaping...
Yes I do but i mean by shoestring we don't a lot of money from a conference. Yes our budget is based on our States wealth and commitment from the Governor. But would it be fair to suggest these schools in P5 have large budgets as well in addition to the conference money?
So good catch on your...
The reality is we prove you can be a national champion on a shoe string. We have to fight for everything and yet we win. We prove that the rest of these schools probably have some funky accounting going on. They get millions of dollars and majority don't win anything or even have winning...
Well Connecticut has many prep schools and private universities like most of the NE. Many of the wealthy send their kids to prep schools so they can attend private universities most notably Ivy League schools and those in a tier below. Yes UConn academics are excellent and an excellent choice...
Always plead NOT guilty. Both tickets I got in NY first one the layer made it a lesser charge with no points and reduced amount. 2nd ticket they were so backed up that court date was set for a year later and then they just dismissed the case. Your call but my experience is always please NOT...
We took are son as a youthful teenager a few years ago - he was in heaven 3 plus times a day. Been there many times never had a bad meal. In the Italian Alps or Northern Italy there is more of an Austrian/German influence but still amazing food.
Very unfair to high school kids as they are competing with 22+ year olds. Prep schools are doing welll a lot high schoolers in many sports opting for post grad years.
One would imagine Colorado has played a more difficult schedule during same time period. Granted the AAC had a few good teams but overall I would think their schedule would be rated tougher. That said we have losses to UMass (2), barely beat Wagner, lost to Holy Cross, barely beat Yale since RE...
Besides the Covid year which offered him free money for a year we lost to Holy Cross. Sitting through that game was the lowest point in UConn football this century.
Agreed when we went to the Fiesta Bowl the old guard couldn’t stand it. Seems to me the college sports world turned against us and did everything to keep us out of conference realignment. Ironically our old conference mates have suffered and not won while we survived and flourished.
I am a Red Sox fan. Having been at both the Bucky Dent and Aaron Boones games. My pessimism ended in 2004. 4 titles later I don’t feel that way at all despite those memories. I feel quite optimistic when we make the playoffs.
Great post. Maybe fans are not expressing it well but most wanted the glory of having a fighting chance of defending the title. Not that we won’t or can’t but having a few more of the same players would make it emotionally satisfying.
You maybe right but Ollie made Glen Miller the scapegoat fired him and ruined his career. One could argue Calhoun took on the St Joseph coaching job to land a job for Miller who has always been a good coach.
