    UConn hires Raphael Chillious

He is a great recruiter. Washington's problem was that they were too talented leading to guys leaving early. Most recently Fultz, year before was Chriss and Murray.

    Next Year's Hopes - Durham &Diarra

They need more talent. period. Ollie can talk about what guys need to work on but you need to have the talent. UConn's bigs are extremely limited and often looked overwhelmed. The biggest thing this team needs is Ollie to work as hard as possible to find more talent. He hasn't shown a great...

Amida Workingout for the Celtics Today

The Celtics don't do business like that. They have multiple plans for every pick they have. Everything is viewed as an asset and they want to maximized the value of each asset. They are much more likely to include second round picks in a trade or draft an unknown international player with potential.

Amida Workingout for the Celtics Today

I never said it was just about giving him advice. Some degree doesn't mean they will draft him. He wouldn't have been invited if they had no interest. lol. The Celtics bring in a ton of players most of whom they aren't strongly considering drafting but want to take a closer look at. Brimah...

Amida Workingout for the Celtics Today

Good experience for Brimah working out for the Celtics. Brad Stevens is involved with many of the pre-draft workouts. Interacting with Brad Stevens is only going to help him(if Stevens participated). Realistically, Celtics probably wouldn't draft him. He doesn't fit in to their style of play...

    Hamilton signs with Sam Goldfeder

Who does Hamilton have more in common with the UConn players or Blake Griffin and the Zeller brothers? When deciding on an agent, it seems like you would consider how the careers of players who were in similar situations turned out. It makes sense to me.

    Hamilton signs with Sam Goldfeder

Yeah, definitely the two UConn players you would hope your pro career turns out like. yikes

Shaka Smart, Kevin Ollie and Mark Turgeon coaching Team USA

Ollie should be the head coach, he has won a NC. B.S. about prior USA experience but no surprise coming from Boeheim who has only 1 NC in 40 years of coaching.

    Villanova Recruits

Maybe smart from a short-term financial standpoint, but not smart from a long-term legacy/winning standpoint. Villanova could dominate the Big East for years to come and could build off the NC this year. Their team this year reminded me of the 99 UConn team. They had less talent than UConn'99...

    Villanova Recruits

I highly doubt he leaves. He has had NBA offers in the past. He is a college coach, but I do think NBA players would like him. Villanova will dominate the Big East as long as Jay Wright is there. He seems like a loyal guy.

How does Hamilton affect our APR?

No guarantee he will be moderately wealthy. He is not a sure fire pro prospect.

    Hamilton signs with Sam Goldfeder

Hamilton doesn't get it. He needs a lot of work on his game/body to stick in the league. His play was mistake ridden this year. Success comes through mastering the details. A third year of college should have been a no brainer for him. No shortcuts to success. He had a hard time physically...

    PF Malik William (UConn Offer)

I like his game. He might not be an NBA player but he could be a very solid college player. A question that might not be emphasized enough when evaluating players is, does the kid actually know how to play the game? He does and thats good. Players who actually know how to play help you win games.

    Doomed..We play Kansas

We just won our 4th 2 years ago, lol. They won their third in 2008. So yeah just from a time stand point they've had more opportunities. Yes, Kansas is a great program. We can't match their history but our success is underestimated.

    Doomed..We play Kansas

I know Mike Francesa said we would never be like Kansas but we have 4 National Championships to Kansas' 3. Facts are facts.

Jalens bad pass cost that game

Jalen's pass wasn't the reason why they lost. It was a team effort. Poor execution on the final play is just one example.

    OT GS just won't lose

Don't forget Celtics played without Marcus Smart.

Best Basketball Player from State of CT (played HS in state)

Vin Baker should be mentioned not for his High School career but because of his Olympic gold medal in 2000 and he was a multi time NBA All Star before his alcohol troubles. Overall, Calvin Murphy would get my vote.

    Calipari is ridiculous

That Kentucky team will be remembered as much for the fact they weren't able to win the whole thing as much as they will be for the win streak. People will not remember the exact number of wins Kentucky had during the streak. How can he argue the fact that they didn't win it all? They failed...

    Izzo on Ollie (must watch)

The way Michigan St. is playing right now is quite similar to UConn last year. Izzo isn't just saying he likes Ollie as a person, he is saying his game plan this year is practically modeled after last year's UConn team. It has been noticeable in the last few games. Trice has played like a UConn...

    Facey Benched

Do you mean regressed since earlier in the year? Because I don't think its possible for him to have regressed compared to last year. He may be struggling some lately but overall I think he has demonstrated that he is a solid player.

    Is Ollie Mike Davis

Comparing Mike Davis to Kevin Ollie is absurd.

YouTube highlight reels are stupid, but...

He can shoot and handle the ball well too. I saw a clip of him dominating the show boating Corey Sanders. It was fun to see a show off be humbled by a true baller.

    Thank you Kentan Facey

He played well against Texas too. His production and quality play against top competition shows that he has substantial talent.

    missing that energy guy...

lol Phil Nolan is not the answer. I don't get why people continue to expect so much from him. He doesn't have a good feel for the game. I agree that as an upperclassman he should be doing the little things right at this point. If he can just be solid without making mistakes he could be a useful...

    Steven Enoch (Committed to UConn)

I'm not hating on the kid at all. It would be more productive to let the kid keep developing and temper expectations. He doesn't remind me of Shawn Kemp at all. Just being realistic, without delusions of grandeur.

    Steven Enoch (Committed to UConn)

I don't see Shawn Kemp. Kemp's athleticism was off the charts elite. I think people are getting ahead themselves with comparing this kid to such great players. He looks solid but no where near a guarantee to be a terrific player.

Niels - Jazz Summer League Squad

Against the Sixers - 6 pts, 2-7, 2 rebs, 2 steals, 13 min - He had the second best plus/minus only behind Dante Exum. He didn't shoot that well but played well when he was out there. Honestly, I thought he was more effective defensively than Rodney Hood.

Love will commit to long term deal in Cleveland, but . . .

Why not hold off on the trade and wait til next summer when Love will be an unrestricted free agent? Then the Cavs could keep Wiggins. Obviously, Love could be traded to another team but he would have to agree to a long term deal. I'm not sure I would do the trade yet. Most would obviously, but...

Where are They Now: Former UConn star Doron Sheffer

I remember going to that game and Doron played well. His basketball IQ, skill and size for the pg position would have made him a good player in the NBA. It was interesting to read in the article but not surprising that Ray Allen thought Doron would have had a 10 year career in the NBA.

What's Bazz's next game going to be like?

My guess is he will shoot the ball better but its going to take time for him to adjust his passing.

Coach K. on combining the Big East with the ACC

Lets be honest, they were pretty good under Jim O'Brien, elite eight in 94 and won the Big East Tournament in 97.
