Maybe Vonleh is leaving Colorado because another BIG (from the state of Colorado) who is also in the transfer portal is wanting to stay closer to her parents?
Sydney Wiess Facebook post today:
"Let me make one thing clear before I begin- I am saying all of this on my own accord. This is my own perspective and my own words.
As someone who went to Oregon State for all 4 years and played for Coach Rueck all 4 years, I have taken the time to think to...
Putting to rest any questions of how solid of a defender is Raegan Beers. A. Pili said Raegan Beers was the best post defender she played against this season. Raegan is a great shot blocker, makes a lot of steals from the post position, and is a great shot changer w/o fouling. And is the best...
"her mobility is limited"? Nothing could be further from the truth. I watched Raegan from courtside seats the last 2 years. Raegan is one of the most mobile BIGs to play College basketball in years. Best hands, great defender, great feet, great screener. Just great and mobile.
Haven't heard anything re: Kennedie Schuler. Solid PG, but not much of an offensive threat (yet). When Rueck took the OSU HC job, he had to hold tryouts on campus. I hope that is not what OSU Coaching Staff will need to resort to when this is all over.
My daughter's favorite player--this one hurts too. Adlee is a hooper and can shoot the lights out. Just didn't get the minutes at OSU because her 1v1 defense wasn't as strong as others. Adlee will make waves wherever she lands. Raegan Beers and Adlee are good buddies and also Lily Hansford...
Congratulations South Carolina and their fans! Makes this Oregon State fan feel pretty good about our game with South Carolina. We have now lost to South Carolina 3 times in the NCAA Tournament, and each time the spread gets a little tighter. Lose by less than 10 points next time?
Tough seeing the WBB Team lose TvO, and probably many more. Going to be interesting to see who leaves and who stays (including Rueck and coaching staff).
Article just came out in the Oregonian stating that many others are going into the portal. This will be a sad day for OSU WBB Fans if that is the case. What a gut punch.
I was going to post this in the PAC-12 thread, since I stated that the NCAA Tournament will tell us how good was the PAC-12 this season. My view is really not different than what was my view in past seasons. The PAC-12 over the past 6-7 years has improved greatly from top to bottom. But the...
Scott is loved in Corvallis. I'm not sure he would uproot his family for the job, and Scott is so deeply ingrained within OSU. His parents who live in Portland attend every game (home and away) and Scott will have an amazing team at OSU for the next 2 years minimum. He may take a call from...
This Oregon State fan was also impressed with Tessa on the court, even before the OSU game vs South Carolina. But my opinion of Tessa went to the moon when I heard her on the post game presser. Tessa would fit in great at OSU as she reminded me so much of the humble players at Oregon State...
I remember when Gary Payton was #2 in the draft and many said he wouldn't last in the NBA because he was a poor outside shooter (relative to some of the other guards in the draft). What wasn't accounted for by these pundits is that Gary Payton was a "scorer". He could take anyone to the rim...
Definitely need to have a tough (UCONN like) non conference schedule. OSU WBB doesn't lose any players via graduation. As long as OSU doesn't lose anyone via portal, injury, etc., the future is very bright for the next 2 years.
Nobody outside the PAC-12 knew about Donovyn Hunter before the NCAA Tournament. Thought Dono demonstrated she is one of the best freshman PGs in the country.
It was the game I was expecting. Game wasn't decided until the last few seconds. Congrats to ND for a great season. FYI, I wish Citron was a Beaver--she is such a gamer. Love watching her play.
I'll leave that to the OSU Coaching staff. We'll have a mix of 3 BIGs to rotate through, and it will all be dictated on match ups and if Marshall begins lighting up OSU!
You may want to watch some of the PAC-12 games that OSU played against some very high quality backcourts in PAC-12 conference. JuJu Watkings 11 for 33 and 6 for 34 in her 2 games vs OSU. HH is "quicker" than just about any guard in the NCAA, but after that, ND guards are not faster/quicker...
A couple of Oregon State Frosh have made a name for themselves in the eyes of the PAC-12 coaches and media: Donovyn Hunter and Dominka Paurova. Both will be important defensively in the game vs Notre Dame
