The Purdue fans I talked to almost universally said things like " I did not go for our last FF in 1980 and I was not going to miss this one". Ours fans -arrogant and spoiled as we are- went last year in huge numbers and had a Women's FF at the same time this year. If it had been 45 years since...
Their fans have been nice and respectful- they are definitely living their best life here. I realize we have no chance whatsoever but there would be a river of tears here if we can pull off a W. Moved to section 227 so at least solidly in UConn county today. Doomed!!!
If last night is any indication they will have at least twice as many people at the game.- i havw a big mouth and will be fully recovered by then so that’s something.
Im in Scottsdale as well and not many UConn fans in this part of the city. This place so spread out people are staying quite a distance from venue. I imagine there will be enough of us to make some noise. The starving fan bases definitely have made the trip.
First- We are DOOOMED. Hypothetically if is there is a match up-Edey historically has not gotten into foul trouble. DC because of his more mobil style of play is more prone to pick up fouls then Edey. I think if he can stay on the floor (key in any game we play) he will do a good job limiting...
It’s very strange heading to the game today and thinking of us as favorites- I like the giant killer role better- feels more familiar/comfortable. Im used to UConn fans being the only ones who believe we will win. On a side note I have a feeling Purdue fans are going to be some of my least...
Danny is superstitious- maybe he wanted the same vibe for team this year? Worked out ok last year.
The hotel was a bit of a cluster after the game- but it was a good time.
I have a feeling that they are not going to get as many open looks from 3 against us. We are more athletic and taller then Yale. We can't possibly shoot any worse then last game so it is not unreasonable to think we can do better.
