This is easy. I saw them run my favorite play at the end of most games this year. It's called "Andrew Hurley dribbles out the game clock". Man, I love that play!
I made the ultimate sacrifice to my personal mojo belief and had to miss tonight's semifinal game. I've watched highlights, but can't find a full replay to watch. Can someone please help me out?
I get the Caron comparison even though their games are vastly different. They do share not only a similar physical profile but also similar demeanor. They both have that unruffled, stoic coolness and don't get too high or too low, just all business. With Caron, he was that way cause he was older...
Also, credit to the coaching. They had Ice playing a very different defense than how Aaliyah plays. It was pretty much a one woman zone in the paint for her, not much chasing her player all over the court. I think that helped her a lot. When she got late in the games with no foul trouble, they...
Agree to disagree. The important stuff we missed was "who was the foul on? how many do they have? who entered and left the game?" Trivial stuff like that. I didn't need to be told twelve times that GT was still playing hard.
A couple of things about Ice. I don't think she ever really had "bad hands". I think she was just surprised by many passes and especially unused to the zip put on the ball by our brilliant passers like Nika and Paige. Once she got used to the pace of play and the fact that she ALWAYS had to be...
I have to defend Fanta. How do you do adequate play by play when the color analyst won't shut up? John valiantly tried to catch folks up on game details when the motor-mouth paused to take a breath. Color analysts should say nothing until the PBP guy asks them a question. The PBP guy should be...
I think Fanta is great, Kim Adam's was good yesterday and that woman today was AWFUL! Talked WAY TOO MUCH and about things that had no relevance to the game while ignoring fouls being called, players entering and exiting and other things we needed to know about.
I think Georgetown would be more physical. I'm tired of our players being abused and suffering injury. I'll choose the less physical option even if they might be more talented. Surviving physically is more important than winning the BET.
Two things:
As a long-time serious heart patient, on rare occasions, I will turn off a particularly poorly played game just as self-protection.
One of the best pieces of advice from my late Dad, "Never bet on the Huskies or the Red Sox but never bet against them either".
An old friend of mine was buddies with him forever. They went to broadcasting school together, no, not at that Canadian school, but at the Dick Robinson School of Broadcasting. It used to be in the Times Tower downtown Hartford. I've always thought Crispino does a good job. And he's a local...
I am on the SoCal coast just north of LA and Malibu. Flash flood and high wind warnings but where I am is flat, so no real worries personally. I might get some seepage into my garage. We were SUPPOSED to have all our windows replaced tomorrow, that ain't happening. Maybe later in the week?
