I understand all the excitement about various Freshman from this season. My thought is that Clark rose up to be the superstar and media focal point while Bueckers was mostly out injured. If she is in full form for another season next year, like this, maybe the media will rediscover her to some...
I can actually see a team 2 games under .500 making it, but 4 games forget it about it. I'm looking at you Texas A&M. 6-10 in the SEC, but going Dancing all the same. Utterly ridiculous.
Have been off the grid for several days, just saw the bracket, haven't read thru this thread yet. I will start with--TOO many SEC teams, just like I've been predicting all year. You know it's going to happen. Every single year.
Except when it doesn't. Mulkey won a Title in year 2 at LSU. She had very little time to build a team through recruiting, and there wasn't that much there when she arrived. The transfer portal changes everything. Trying to build through it year after year is a crap shoot, but sometimes it...
Your wake up call worked for your team, but North Carolina Central didn't receive it. I seem to recall they are WAY down your rooting list. Lost to Howard in a MEAC semi.
While AQ allow a few really weak teams into the Tourney, we don't need another dozen or more mediocre to worse than mediocre P5 teams getting in. In softball and baseball it's not uncommon for all but 1 or 2 SEC teams to get included. Does anyone want that in basketball?
You know you were recently diagnosed as a curmudgeon. I unfortunately have had CRS for a while now (Can't Remember...Stuff). So it's possible you did notify us and I forgot.
#1 seed Lamar (17-1 regular season) about to lose in the Southland Championship to tied for second place Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
I always feel a bit bad this time of year for the 1 bid leagues, and teams that had a great regular season but then fall short.
Come on. They lost 5 starters from the previous year and then ran the table. That is worthy of recognition, and I'm the furthest thing from a fan of Staley.
More big upsets today. Hofstra (3-15 regular season) over William & Mary (12-6) in the Colonial. Long Beach St. (8-12) over UC Riverside (13-7) in the Big West.
My concern is, exactly how is she different from Elissa Cunane? Also had a great college career and has yet to find a spot in the W. The two were compared to each other incessantly while they were battling it out in the ACC. Sure Kitley has bigger stats, but what's the actual difference in...
Hmm...billed as a Hulu original, but there is no way this isn't borrowing heavily from "Press Play" (2022) with Clara Rugaard. I don't know what it is about Lucy Boynton, she never looks the same twice to me, I didn't even recognize her.
Watched a couple mediocre at best movies this week. "The Kill Room" had potential, but it didn't quite get there. Uma Thurman owns an art gallery that is struggling mightily. It seems she used to be a fairly big player in the art world but has become pretty much a joke. Out of desperation...
Anyone know why the America East takes such a long break between semis and Championship? Semis were on the 11th, Title game is on the 15th. The anticipation is killing me.
That's an interesting idea. Sometimes the head of officials for a conference issues a statement, but generally speaking there is a lack of accountability.
I know @azfan was hoping for a different outcome, but I'm happy to see Eastern Washington about to claim the auto bid from the Big Sky. They've had a really good season and don't have many NCAA Tourney appearances in their history.
Many are speculating Portland will be making the short trip to...
Looks like Colorado St. kept it interesting, but UNLV advances to Mountain West championship game. Are they safely in as an at large, or do they need the auto bid?
