Q is an intriguing player for a lot of reasons. Think of “Aubrey Griffin with a jump shot.” Obviously she needs to pack on some muscle in the off-season. But assuming she gets that done, Q becomes a really difficult matchup for opponents either at the 3 or 4 position.

I wouldn’t get hung up on the 4 vs 5 thing. Iriafen is 1 inch shorter than Beers and considerably more athletic. In addition, Iriafen frequently played the post whenever Brink was on the bench or in foul trouble.

Hopefully, she has Geno’s number….:)

Absolutely. That doesn’t mean UConn brings someone in. But the Huskies now have 2 roster spots available. I think we’re set at guard and power forward. But I have to believe Geno will look for a center , maybe an experienced 5th year player who can hold down the fort while Jana gets up to speed.

I don’t know that building an “ arsenal of players” is necessarily a new thing. Certainly TN, UConn & ND have been doing it for years. We need only look back at UConn’s last national championship in 2016. That team boasted 6 x 1st team AA’s, 3 National DPOY’s and 7 future WNBA players.
