I'm not a Sander's honk but there is nothing wrong with what he said and it's definitely not an embarrassment. This wasn't some prepared statement. It was said directly after the incident and he was, I'm sure, a bit fired up about what he just saw with guys walking away.
The point here is you don't be walking away when your teammates are in a situation. You don't have to go in throwing haymakers but you do have to help sort it out.
Since this has started to go off the rails with key jingling, I'll go a step farther and offer something I'd like to see done.
I realize this may step on Jonathan's paws a little but, I'd like a little more play off the UConn name. Whether it was pregame leading the team onto the field...
You said lately, I posted their win totals for the last 5 years. A doormat goes 1-11, 2-10 etc with wins against the likes of FCS teams (and losses) and other doormats like UMass.
I'm neutral on adding USF. However, you can't say this isn't a possibility when the BigXII just added 2 schools from Arizona, 2 from Utah and another from Texas. Florida is the 3rd most populous state. This would also be a chess move ahead in the scenario that FSU leaves the ACC.
If one of the new commits a la Cole Welliver posts another tweet with a #BigXII that would give me more confidence than anything that we're still in play.
It's one thing to tell someone you have until x to make a decision then we're going another way. Totally different to say we're only taking 14 then go 16 within days or weeks.
Wouldn't there be legal recourse there? I mean, that's an outright lie to someone you want to build a strong relationship with, unless you go to 16 next year or something along those lines.
There is no break in that schedule. Keep UMass/or similar type and or a FCS game. Build your rivals in conference. If you're gonna do it, only 1 of BC or 'Cuse. My choice would be 'Cuse
I think the key to what he said is the other schools in the mix (Oregon Washington) have to be willing to sign a long term GOR. That would prove they want to be in the BIG XII and not just using it as a place holder.
Guys, it's Colorado, UConn, Arizona and ...... Oregon. It's happening.
My source is: bruh
Edit: promise I was posting this before the above post was posted lol
And he's simply saying his info and sources have no immediate info on UConn moving. Doesn't mean it's not happening, he just hasn't heard it from what's available to him.
