I don't get scared of these convos anymore since UConn certainly puts forth competitive NIL packages but often isn't looking for kids where they have to be or are the highest bidder, but rather see the bigger picture of getting a decent financial package now but also getting some of if not the...
I will probably end up getting this one since the one this year showing all the championship years is pretty bad. Last year was way better but at least the 2024 title version looks nice.
Considering where the AD social media team was only a couple years ago to now this is incredible. Obviously a reflection of performance on the floor as well but the social teams have been phenomenal the last two years especially during these championship runs. Not as much UConn+ content as last...
The answer is St. John's...assuming Pitino stays another 3 years minimum before he retires. UConn was the biggest draw TV ratings wise this season, #2? An okay St. John's team.
Creighton will continue to be very good with McDermott but isn't a ratings or brand darling. Same goes for Marquette...
it was on YouTube, you should be able to find the two they did for last for the Final Four (or least I have watched them in the past)
I wonder if they are still on the Bleacher Report app...will look when I get home
What's amazing about the flight tracking is it's been noted that athletic departments usually aren't stupid enough to make plane tracking this obvious and they find creative ways to get around it like flying to different airports and using different planes...but Kentucky seems to just not care...
Bunch of UConn fans on my flight out of Newark and only a few Purdue / NC State / Alabama.
Alabama above and away is the fanbase I saw the least of in both airports.
I'm flipping between SeatGeek, Stubhub, and Ticketmaster. Those are the big 3 I trust. I'm seeing around $280 to get in a moment with the understanding face value was $180 for upper deck.
The prices seem much crazier than MSG 2014. I paid $300+ for the Sweet Sixteen the day of the game, however, that was to sit in the lower bowl. I then paid $150 to sit in the lower bowl for the Elite Eight. Right now the lowest I see is $288 to enter the building for Thursday.
I imagine this...
One session has Duke and Wisconsin and is after work.
The other is UConn and a bunch of programs that have no alumni base in the area + is during the workday.
None of this is surprising. Enjoy the cheap prices for Friday (I know I will), because if they win and Duke and / or Wisconsin win...
Yea I was just about to ask someone to confirm.
With Tristen first team for 3 of the 4 publications. That makes him a Consensus First Team All American correct?
Im pretty sure he would be but someone more knowledgeable can say with certainty.
I was not there for the first game but it sounded great on TV. The second game against St Mary's was an excellent crowd, legit felt like a UConn home game.
The only thing about Barclays is it is legit one of the worst arenas going, especially considering how new it is (some of you may remember...
Ah that makes sense. Ourand goes out of his way to mention FOX has loyalty to Big East and one of the best relationships with Big East execs so it really could be just the bad games rather than the good which would be pretty big.
I actually was thinking it would impact UConn the most. Purely anecdotal but it feels like Peacock has been getting a lot of Purdue MBB and Iowa WBB to bring more viewers to the service, but I could be totally wrong.
