Survived is so right. Paige had (for her) an off night. Girls looked sloppy and tired and out of sync. Am so happy and proud of them for what they've accomplished this year. Will be praying for all on Monday but my expectations aren't high.
Of course I did, and if I wanted to beat a dead horse I guess I could given details of his massive mismanagement of the school's huge construction project.
Thanks in no small part to the NCAA's laughably inept former president Mark Emmert. He's left a trail of questionable acts and few results in his wake for 30+ years.
OD, thanks for putting our injuries in perspective. Hopeful no more yakking about our training staff. Agree that the NCAA needs to look into this as no other organization has the scope to do it. Hopefully though they won't just rely on NCAA staffers and bring bring in coaches, medical...
First NC win vs Tennessee. I was hooked before the half ended and still remember Jen flying everywhere. I've lived in Knoxville for the past couple of years and do get some "looks" when I wear my UCONN hat in Publix, but haven't been attacked yet!
"apparently he (Geno) has created competition amongst the players and they appear to be fighting for playtime and competing against each other" Sorry, but I don't see this. Certainly Ash, KK and Ice are fighting the other teams...but each other, and for playing time? Don't see it, at all! It's...
All the comments are spot on. Ashlynn is a rock. What talent and enthusiasm with a capital E. Am so annoyed I can't see her live, but clips and game replays will have to do for now. Keep it up Ash!
I was skeptical of the early supporters of Shea's return as Geno's successor, but what she's doing at Vandy impresses me. As does Carla's performance with Princeton. Succeeding Geno will be a challenge for anyone, but at least both of those women will benefit from their ties to the program with...
Hey, it worked. As far as circumventing paywalls, sorry, but I have no problem with this. Just me no doubt, but I don't feel "entitled" and I'm 77 years old. Finally, Maggie is the only person I'd do this for and, as usual, she hits it out of the park.
Ran across this older article from the CT Post about Uconn Women's injuries particularly knees. I found it really interesting as it went into significant detail about knee injuries with women basketball players. I doubt much has changed since it was written. Apologize if everyone has seen it...
Much as I love Penn State (my brother went there), Franklin is a bit of a Stop artist. Always has an excuse for losing the big ones. Sure the OC was horrible in failing to build an offense around the QB, but where was the OL, the great running game we were supposed to have, etc. Defense was...
I'd say Ash had a heck of a game vs Maryland - 10 pts, a couple of rebounds, a steal, and no turnovers in 15 min on the court. I really like this kid and want to see more of her.
Surprise, surprise...another wonderful piece of writing from Maggie. A whole 'nother level of reporting, particularly compared to the usual "less than inspiring" stuff from the usual scribes. Time to up your games, boys.
