I have. But it's also irrelevant. Our coach has said himself he needs to improve his defense.
I'm just confused why you thought you could analyze this kids defensive abilities when he plays the same minutes as Andrew Freaking Hurley.
His defense isn't good enough right now to earn real minutes. But I think if he develops that defensive IQ over the summer, he and Abraham will have a real battle to back up AK and Stewart next year.
He had only 3 points and 1/6 shooting in the second half IIRC.
It looked to me like we had Clingan/Johnson stay home and only help with a show instead of relying on the switch. Clearly it paid off.
Castle was an absolute animal tonight. 16/11/2, and made every single shot at the rim. That hit he took at the rim would have killed me. He just tucked his chin and kept playing.
Clingan had a bad first half. We got away from the forced post-up and he looked much better. WAY better on Ledee...
Someone asked about it the other day and I posted this:
The gloves make it harder to dribble because you can't feel with your fingertips. Then when you go back to no gloves, it feels way easier to dribble. Like these
There's also things like heavy basketballs and basketballs with no grip you...
No one said that. And it would be a lie if they did. We are contacting people in the portal (and before the portal) just like every other program in America. This is what our coaches are paid millions to do.
I like this offer. He looks like a Castle-lite to me. Good defender, shooting is promising. And okay (but not great) atost everything on offese.
He entered the portal kess than 24 hours ago. For those thinking we aren't playing the transfer game and talking to guys before they enter... you're...
The Athletic is a great resource. Vecenie's big board with all the analysis he puts out is better than you'll find anywhere.
The Ringer sucks. Don't evem get their stats right.
I moved my wife's office TV into the bathroom and the other into the bedroom. Haven't left either in 24 hours. Slept maybe 2.
Watched a ton of old Bird, Magic, MJ games from back in the day. Way better than work, and I've got 13 sick days to burn by June 19.
Whelp, I got the norovirus (wouldn't recommend trying it out).
But my brother and best friend will be there. And they're both drunks so they'll be loud.
Having a relevant coaching styl and philosophy is a fickle thing. The best stay flexible with the times. That's why Calhoun is a legendary coach and Cal will never be better than "very good."
Abraham or the Greek will back up Karaban most likely IMO.
And Ross is not a 2, or close to it. Griffiths slots in that role better in thos hypothetical.
Karaban isn't nearly the prospect Clingan is and will most likely be back in Storrs. He'll still declare and get feedback, but it's probably going to be round 2 at best. In which case he'll stay.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: If DC wants to remain at UConn, Hurley should cut his scholarship. It is time for him to get his bread--he's earned it.
