"Those from 1919–20 through 1941–42 were selected retroactively in 1943." Kansas "won" "championships" for 1922 and 1923.
To be fair, the guy in the bakery didn't make the decisions. He hired some other dude to unilaterally decide who'd won titles decades earlier.
I'm not turning down any guy who shot 100-201 from 3, and I like that he's OK coming off the bench, and I trust the staff believes he's a good fit, but for people who've watched him: Can he pass and defend? He averaged 1.2 apg and 0.5 spg in 29 mpg, pretty anemic.
I agree with you on principle, but it seems to me like the loopholes would swallow the rule. School can't pay? OK, boosters pay $750K for him to show up at some event to sign autographs.
There need to be some rules. Whether that's caps (per player and/or team), I don't know. Also, I'm in favor of players' freedom of movement, but having a guy be able to transfer 4 years in a row is a bit silly. How about one time for any reason, and unlimited moves in the event of a coaching...
If you’re referring to Cam, that’s apples and kiwis. Come on. One guy kept upping the level of competition, having been continuously underrated. The other? You tell me.
Yep, was really hoping it’d be Nabers and not McCarthy. (Wanted Daniels or Harrison but was excited for Nabers too.) They can pick a developmental guy later. But I guess you run it back with Jones. At least he’ll have someone to throw to. Not like NYG are competing for the Lombardi Trophy this...
It's rare that a player's performance is everything you imagined and more.
Apropos of nothing, I've seen some KU fans brag about barely beating UConn at home. Putting aside the fact that Castle was out, if Cam wasn't playing on one foot down the stretch, we win that game going away.
If he truly wanted to reflect the vibe here, he should have ended it like this:
"It marked the last time McNeeley and Flagg share the court as teammates, at least as amateurs. Perhaps someday, they'll be teammates in the NBA. One thing seems certain: they won't be teammates at UConn. Flagg...
He's making it sound like the staff had no involvement. I find that a little hard to believe. It's not like he visited secretly; his unofficial visit was announced in advance.
But he really did fall in our laps when Self left Illinois for KU.
He heard it from Richard Kent, who heard it from Simon Charles, who heard it from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night.
I've always been able to accept the "imperfections" of CBB and what's always made CBB so special is how much the games matter, compared to so many NBA regular season games. Nothing worse than going to an NBA game and a big star isn't playing due to load management.
Yeah I don't remember the order that everything happened but I think by the time CFJ left, others had too, so it was cumulative and disappointing because people started on focusing on who was left.
I'm often wrong but if you look in that thread, I wasn't one of the ones losing their crap over...
Viewership of practically everything with historically high ratings is down. There are a billion channels/streaming options. The days of half the country watching M*A*S*H are over.
If you haven't watched in 15 years than you're completely disqualified to comment on this. The game is totally...
An injury would make sense, but it also sure seems like Donovan played to win the game. They were a DeRozen jumper away from winning IIRC.
You'd think if Donovan wanted to coach college again, Mark Pope would still be in Utah.
It makes perfect sense.
Michigan's a fine basketball school and May obviously has charisma but...
A coach/program with a proven track record of winning titles, and the best offense in MCBB, which happens to be perfect for his game
vs.
An unproven coach who hasn't shown he can win games at...
Look, I love Sanogo and I didn't want to say anything in the other thread but...
He went 8/18 in 35 minutes of what was basically a summer league game against a Wizards team that finished 15-67; the Bulls only played one starter.
Half of his rebounds were offensive boards and I think a lot of...
I'm a Celtics fan and I've followed Smart's career very closely. If Castle "develops" a shot like Smart's he's not going to be a star. He needs to do better shooting-wise. And I think he can.
