I was thinking the exact same. He has this slender glide about him and is a step ahead of everyone. Really early to put him into the mold of a past Huskie but Rip seems like the best comp right now.
Don't be surprised if Cronin does leave Cincy, but not for a Cali job.
If Virginia Tech finds themselves Buzzless, a Cronin and Babcock reunion would be very logical.
Unless Mick likes money... then he should go west!
Try what I've started doing recently. Watch some old school UConn games and pretend its present day. Its really good therapy! I just watched the 2004 BE Title game. Damn we're an amazing program!! Favorites to win the national title this year!
Conditioning could be a factor considering how full throttle his motor runs. Many of his minutes probably won't be incredibly effective but if Sid were a wine, he's still in the grape smushing phase. I'm just saying lets smush more grapes this season, so we can get to the fermentation a little...
I've been impressed with the job Coach Mack is doing at Louisville. I really wanted to see their program sink. Maybe because misery loves company. Probably more because of Pitino and a bit of jealousy after they got the ACC invite, but they seem to be in good hands early into Mack's tenure...
I'm guessing I'm in the majority here, but I would really like to see Sid get major minutes every game from here on and nourish his learning curve. I think his ceiling is very high over the next couple seasons!
I may get beat up for this (it is the Boneyard after all) but to me this schedule is intended for recruiting and not to make the NCAA tourney. And honestly, I am fine with it if it means we can position ourselves to be a serious competitor a couple years down. I think this schedule shows...
I think this is a good assessment of KW. Basketball IQ will be the key with him. And his learning curve with our coaches. The issues with Enoch were not athleticism. It was him not knowing where to be or what his teammates were doing on switches. I'd like to see KW on the court tearing down...
My guess is that they better learn to play together, because they'll both be on court a lot. I actually believe AG can play game-changing defense like Boat use to and KO will keep him on the floor. I think AG will play at least 25 mpg and Adams doesn't need to come out often, i predict 35 mpg...
I believe our best choice is patience here. I know that sounds painful because living in the AAC is the definition of "pain". There's still a chance the B!G or the ACC make a move to shake things up again someday. I'm banking on it. I'd like for UConn to be a choice when that goes down...
I think like most UConn fans, I've been groomed to overlook speculative h.s. rankings.
It appears that this kid's shot is PURE!
We'll have to wait and see if CV will be able to seperate and shoot on his own at the college level,
but with this team's dribble drive ability he'll probably just...
Somebody tell DHam to call Buddy Hield and DeAndre Daniels ASAP. They would both tell him that staying in college and seasoning his game is the right decision if his dream is having a significant NBA career.
I'm going to throw LSU in the mix. Although there is no guarantee they even get into the field, I would not be shocked if Ben Simmons leads this team on a run much like Dwayne Wade did with Marquette back in 2003.
We'll likely have to play at least one of them again in the AAC Tourney. If we're 0-5 against those two bubble teams at the end of the season, we might find ourselves on the outs with this year's committee. If we don't win, our fate is out of our hands.
Good call on the 8 rebounds. He's a difference maker! If he's not fouled out, I believe he should be on the floor as much as possible. For all the talk about his shortcomings, he usually makes a positive impact on our offense and our defense.
