How good is WCB going to be next year of everyone can just stay healthy?
I can think of five easy true contenders off top of my head as rosters stand today.
I think SCar won the second half by double digits, while kindly killing clock, but it wasn't as dominant I guess.
I really liked the full court pressure in 1Q. Helped kick start the team, I think.
She's just characterizing the writer as unreliable and telling her base he's against them.
I see South Carolina is already getting dragged into it by LSU boards.
The paper wants to run it during the tournament. I don't love that.
I do not understand how Mulkey thinks she can duck interview requests for two years and feel righteous about not getting a chance to comment.
Just more evidence of her central self absorption.
There are only four SEC teams that anyone should pick to do anything in the NCAA tournament. One of them is a Tennessee squad that on balance loses to every quality team it faces and is more of a dangerous player gets hot play. Ole Miss more of a rock fight play.
You could argue LSU over...
She doesn't have a bad looking shot.
I think the best case is something along the lines of Aneesah Morrow.
Not saying that good of course. But I guess it's possible.
Those seeds are what they are. They had to be in someone's bracket. I had a lot of thought about that going in: just because everyone thinks UCLA or LSU are tough puts doesn't necessarily mean they performed well enough in season to merit that objectively.
UCLA was Pac-10 #3 in the end? LSU...
I think maybe there are many players who aren't white that got a ton of coverage.
Two of them went to South Carolina and were covered to saturation.
Angel Reese is another.
Also Ionescu and Clark for two were breaking all time records. It's hard for me say Bueckers didn't deserve every...
I'm annoyed with LSU and would rather not look at them but I don't think they're a bad matchup at all for us.
I don't like the feeling of playing against Clark. As an internet fan base there is a lot of tough talk about her, but I'm good without chancing lightning striking twice if we can...
In fairness I think a lot of people didn’t actually see the game. They saw a headline about a massive brawl, which was in fact two shoves and some talking.
there were posts that the six ejected players should be banned for the whole tournament if not for life.
do you think those folks actually...
Take it as a compliment that the expectation is to beat every contender by double digits in non-competitive games , I guess.
Sort of takes a bit to see it, but it's there.
I think LSU deserves a great deal of credit for making runs to get back in the game at least twice maybe three times where it seemed like it might turn into a rout.
Her speed and hops are hard to beat.
She doesn't really need the tricky stiff. Gets her in trouble a bit.
Getting consistent three point shot is the next thing. I hope she really grinds on that this offseason.
I don't think anyone particularly cares whether their hands were completely clean in it.
LSU wanted a certain game and they got it.
The officials could have stopped it but they weren't to be bothered.
I agree 100% with Mulkey on that at least.
I hate to break it to folks but both of those teams are contenders and looked every bit of it today.
No question some enterprising bunch of young ladies might knock either one of them out, but it ain't going to be easy.
Van Lith kind of came in there for a sneak attack and at least pushed a Kamilla before scurrying away as fast as possible, but not sure she can reach Kamilla's face.
I never saw how Kamilla ended up with a bloody lip and ESPN and officials certainly weren't interested in finding out.
It...
She got ejected and will rightfully miss the next game.
I'm sorry she wasn't drawn and quartered.
But a push is a push and isn't a punch no matter how hard you try.
I think it's sort of the opposite.
Everyone coaches their defenders to seek out charges and officials have more and more rewarded it.
It's sort of hard now for a driving player to get a call as opposed to 1987.
