I certainly wouldn't consider this guy a local beat reporter. He covers multiple SEC teams for an independent website and definitely isn't local. If you check the Columbia Tribune, KC Star, and St. Louis Post-Dispatch you will get a better feel of how the local beat writers view things.
Agree with this. I am pretty happy that we left. I miss it from a basketball perspective but I will sacrifice that for everything else the SEC provides.

Just as an FYI, there is bridge reconstruction taking place on eastbound I-70 about 45 minutes west of Columbia. A lot of our fans will be making the same drive that morning so there will be quite a bit of traffic I would imagine. You might want to factor in an extra 20-30 minutes for your drive.
